At Web Summit Qatar 2026, the Media Majlis Museum presents Media Futures: Memes, Machines & New Realities, a three-zone interactive exhibition examining how media, technology, and storytelling are reshaping human experience. Designed as a dynamic extension of the museum’s research-driven approach, the installation invites audiences to explore how digital culture influences belief, behavior, and the way we understand the world. 

The Meme Zone confronts the power and politics of viral content through a curated loop of global memes, from Brazil to India to Ethiopia, revealing how humor, satire, and misinformation circulate across cultures and shape public narratives. 

The Machine Zone guides visitors through 20 real-world case studies demonstrating how AI and machine learning are transforming journalism and information flows. This interactive area challenges audiences to consider “who or what”, will define the future of truth, ethics, and credibility in a rapidly shifting media landscape.

The final New Realities Zone features the award-winning VR film Remember This Place: 31°20′46″N 34°46′46″E, immersing viewers in deeply personal stories of displacement and belonging from historic Palestine. Through this experience, audiences explore how technology can deepen empathy and expand the boundaries of storytelling.
