Workshop and public lecture for the professional course "Curatela Artistica Digitale / AIRFARE" divided into two modules, with a first theoretical part open to the public and streamed live, followed by a second, more practical part, for the professionals registered for the workshop.
Auronda Scalera and Alfredo Cramerotti are an internationally active curatorial duo specializing in contemporary art and new technologies. They have curated major exhibitions and programs for museums, biennials, and cultural institutions in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, with a particular focus on digital art, AI, and visual culture. Their practice is characterized by an interdisciplinary and critical approach, exploring the role of curatorship as a cultural mediator and infrastructure of meaning in the contemporary landscape. The talk will analyze the changes introduced by new technologies in curatorial practice: from the use of artificial intelligence and augmented reality to blockchain for the traceability of digital works. It will reflect on the role of curatorship as a critical infrastructure capable of interpreting and mediating complex technological languages.
