LLAWN02 Llandudno Arts Weekend #2 [art management, institutional leadership]

LLAWN02 Llandudno Arts Weekend #2 [art management, institutional leadership]

19 Sep 2014 - 21 Sep 2014
MOSTYN is proud to be a principal partner in the second Llandudno Arts Weekend LLAWN 02. LLAWN 02 is an idiosyncratic mix that continues to reflect the quirky nature of the town's past and present and engage its residents and visitors in a distinctive and memorable way; from avid art seekers and performance pilgrims to innocent by-standers; not only the accidental sea side tourist but the shoppers on the high street as well. LLAWN 02 consciously bridges the gap between the prom and the high street via a seamless cross-disciplinary, cross-over programme.

Details of Exhibition

LLAWN 02  invites you to experience and enjoy the specially built replicas of the iconic, Llandudno Victorian Bathing Machine which are brought to life as beautifully customised, mobile, mini-theatres/galleries to house a series of performances and installations that connect with the town’s history.

Each bathing machine is the inspiration and the venue for a series of specially commissioned events, by local and international artists, that will pepper the prom, the seashore and the town centre. There are also be numerous parallel activities, events and happenings that will animate the whole town, created in collaboration with the festival's key partners; MOSTYN, Helfa Gelf, Royal Cambrian Academy, Llandudno Museum, Migrations, TAPE Community Music and Film, Conwy County Borough Council and Venue Cymru, to name but a few.

LLAWN02: A FULL-on Free festival to celebrate Llandudno's past, present and future.
LL AWN02 is the second manifestation of an annual arts festival for Llandudno. This exciting development is made possible by financial support from: MOSTYN, Arts Council Wales, Conwy County Borough Council, Llandudno Town Council and Mostyn Estates .  LL AWN02’s Project Team work out of MOSTYN on Vaughan Street, Llandudno.
